Three University of Ottawa PhD candidates in Law, Aboubacar Dakuyo, Siobhán Airey, and Olabisi D. Akinkugbe, all members of the Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC), have been selected to attend Harvard Law School’s Institute for Global Law and Policy African Regional Workshop 2016.
Pursuant to a seven-year SSHRC Partnership Grant awarded to the Canadian Network for Research on Terrorism, Security and Society and the Faculty of Law’s own internal bursary program, Professor Craig Forcese will be recruiting a Research Fellow in 2016 (and for several years thereafter) to complete graduate research on anti-terrorism law, rule of law and accountability.

Ezeala Chinonyerem Ijeoma, an LLM student in the Faculty’s Global Sustainability and Environmental Law Concentration, has been selected as the silver award winner in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (CoP21) global legal essay competition, organized by the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL).
