The Faculty of Law is proud to annonce that two of its Ph.D. students have received an Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS).  They are Ghazaleh Jerban and Melisa Handl.

Ghazaleh Jerban’s project, entitled "Fostering Women and Developing Countries’ Interests through Implementing the WIPO’s Development Agenda: the Potential Role of Proactive Patent Harmonization", is supervised by Professor Elizabeth Judge.

Melisa Handl’s project, entitled "Gender Equality in the Context of Conditional Cash Transfers (CCTs) in Argentina: Are Women Being Empowered or Entrapped?", is supervised by Professor Angela Cameron.

Since 1975, Ontario, in partnership with Ontario’s publicly-assisted universities, has encouraged excellence in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels through the awarding of Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS).  OGS awards are merit-based scholarships available to students in all disciplines of academic study.

Congratulations to the recipients!
