Faculty of Law PhD student Zoe Boirin has been awarded the Canadian Energy Law Foundation Graduate Law Scholarship for 2018-2019.
Awarded by the Canadian Energy Law Foundation, the scholarship provides graduate students with funding to support research that has the potential to make a significant contribution to the Canadian energy legal practice.
Ms. Boirin’s research explores how energy management impacts Indigenous communities, with specific attention to issues relating to managerial decision-making and the tension between project timelines and the duty to consult with Indigenous groups. The selection committee deemed this work to be of great interest to Canadian energy lawyers. Ms. Boirin is supervised by Professor Sophie Thériault.
Congratulations to Ms. Boirin!
